Understanding Vision vs. Medical Insurance
Vision Insurance
Vision insurance covers routine eye care and eyewear, including:
- Comprehensive eye exams for updating prescriptions and checking overall vision health.
- Prescription eyeglasses and contact lenses (coverage varies by plan).
- Discounts or partial coverage on specialty lenses, coatings, and upgrades.
Common vision insurance providers include VSP, EyeMed, and others.

Medical Plans we Accept
We accept a variety of vision and medical insurance plans.
Please call our office to verify your plan.
We do accept other plans as well, so if you do not see your plan listed here, please give us a call and we would be happy to assist you. Our staff is also always available to answer any questions regarding your benefits.

How to Maximize Your Vision Benefits
- Use Your Annual Eye Exam Coverage – Most vision plans cover a comprehensive eye exam once per year.
- Take Advantage of Eyewear Discounts – Many plans offer allowances for frames, lenses, and contact lenses.
- Check for Flexible Spending or HSA Options – You may be able to use FSA or HSA funds for eye care expenses.
- Schedule Before Benefits Expire – Many plans reset at the end of the year, so don’t let your benefits go unused!
